Friends & Dan McCoy

Designed as an all-ages event, the concert promises something for everyone—from
inspiring performances and fascinating stories to audience participation and an exciting
glimpse into the future of community music education.

The seniors’ program encourages lifelong music-making while highlighting research
connecting musical activity with healthy aging, including benefits for memory, concentration,
coordination and social engagement.

Special guest Peter Seitz will join Dan McCoy during the presentation. Dan McCoy, Peter
Seitz and Russell Hersen are Program Leads for the keyboard initiative being researched
at the University of Toronto’s lab school, the Eric Jackman Institute of Child Study.
