Join Concerts in Care Ontario for a virtual live musical performance designed to bring joy, comfort, and connection to older adults living in their own home who are experiencing dementia or frailty and their care partners.

Artist Bios

Maria Peppler

Maria Peppler is an award-winning fiddler and step dancer from Orangeville, Ontario. She now lives in Peterborough, Ontario.
Maria began competing in fiddle and stepdance contests when she was young and won many first-place awards. She has performed at shows and festivals across Ontario with groups like The Barra MacNeils. She was also a guest musician on the Macmaster/Leahy Christmas TV special.
Maria works as a paramedic in Peterborough County, but music is still a big part of her life. She loves to share fiddle music and stepdance with others.

Alanna Jenish

Alanna Jenish is an award-winning fiddle player and guitar player. She performs as both a lead musician and a backup musician.
Alanna has toured with groups such as The Fitzgeralds and The Scott Woods Band. She plays many styles of music and has been named Canadian Bluegrass Fiddle Player of the Year two years in a row.
In 2019, she released her first album, Reflections. Alanna earned her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Toronto in 2017.

As always, participants can sign in 15 minutes prior to start time (2:30 pm).  CiCO will admit once the soundcheck has concluded.
